Gabbeh are hand-woven in the Shiraz region of Iran. Gabbeh are a type of thick rug woven roughly with hand-spun thick wool yarn, characterized by their rustic and charming colors and designs.
This is a high-grade Gabbeh called "Kashkuli" which has a finer weave. Since it uses wool yarn spun even finer than the wool typically used for Gabbeh, it has a high weaving density, and even fine designs are clear.
The unique round shape gives it a leading role in cuteness. It's so fluffy that it's comfortable to lie on, and because its size isn't overpowering, it can be used not only as a rug, but also draped over a sofa or used as a tapestry for an interesting interior.
The vivid colors created with natural dyes made from plants and spices result in a beautifully balanced and rich color palette.
This is a work of art, with each knot meticulously hand-woven by artisans with all their heart.
