This is a Persian hand-woven kilim with a traditional Soumak weave, woven in Sirjan.

Soumak weaving is a technique where yarn is wrapped around the warp threads, creating a slight three-dimensional effect and substantial thickness compared to regular kilims, despite being a flat weave. It is also highly durable, making it suitable for everyday use.

On the deep navy field, geometric patterns resembling flowers are neatly arranged, with rich colors such as red, green, and orange beautifully harmonizing.
