This is an old Baluchi tribal rug woven around the 1960s.
With a deep navy blue base, it combines red, brown, beige, and green, featuring motifs reminiscent of symmetrically arranged trees in the center. Geometric patterns adorn the upper part, and small continuous patterns are found even on the thin border.
Baluchi rugs are traditional hand-woven carpets made by the Baluchi people and surrounding tribes in a wide area including Khorasan and Sistan in eastern Iran, and around Afghanistan.
