This is a KHURJEEN carpet woven by the Turkmen and Hazara tribes living in the central and northern provinces of Afghanistan. Khurjeen means "saddlebag" in Persian, and it is said that this name came about because this pattern was once used on saddlebags and gained popularity.

The Khurjeen carpet, characterized by its bright colors and symmetrical design incorporating stripes, is a unique work that fuses modern and traditional designs.


It uses high-quality hand-spun wool dyed with natural plant dyes.
The elastic, soft-touch pile keeps your feet comfortable year-round, even barefoot. Wool is a natural material with low thermal conductivity, making it cool in summer and warm in winter. It also has excellent breathability, so it can be safely used on tatami mats or over floor heating. It is highly durable and can be home-cleaned, allowing for practical long-term use.
