Abadeh is a town located in Fars Province, southern Iran, along the road connecting Isfahan and Shiraz. The nomadic Qashqai people have lived here since ancient times, and the powerful tribal patterns they have inherited form the basis of the town's rug weaving. In the 20th century, the "central medallion" layout, cultivated in the rug making of the settled city of Isfahan, merged with the dynamic motifs unique to the Qashqai people, giving birth to a distinctive style known today as "Abadeh patterns."

This piece features a design with a deep red base, adorned with a symmetrically arranged "tree of life" pattern. The branching tree pattern within the ecru-colored菱形 (diamond-shaped) panels is said to embody the nomads' prayers for prosperity and abundant harvests. A small hexagonal medallion is placed at the center, surrounded by scattered geometric patterns such as diamonds, crosses, and stars, resembling stars in the night sky.

As the name "Old" suggests, this rug has been woven for a certain number of years, and its charm lies in the subdued luster unique to wool and the soft texture that becomes more familiar with use. You can enjoy the aged texture cultivated over time, which is not found in new rugs. The 101x62cm size is easy to incorporate as an accent piece, suitable for an entryway mat, bedside, or under a chair.
