This is a hand-woven tribal rug from the Khoja tribe of Afghanistan. Among them, this piece is woven with the highest quality known as "Biljik." Biljik is a superior grade woven only by a limited number of skilled weavers. It is characterized by finely aligned knots, uniform weaving, and the exclusive use of carefully selected high-quality wool.

The wool is fine-grained, moist, and soft. The moment you touch it, a smooth elasticity transmits through your fingertips. Yet, because it is densely woven, it also boasts excellent durability, and its texture deepens with prolonged use.

The design features the repeating gul pattern, a symbol of Afghan rugs. The regularly arranged geometric patterns are traditional designs that reflect the nomadic life and tribal pride. Strong motifs are also placed on the outer border, tightening the central field. With a red base accented by deep navy, it brings warmth and depth to any space.
