This is a rare large rug woven in the 1940s by the Baluchi people living in the Sistan region near the border between Afghanistan and Iran.
This is a beautiful piece of wool that has become more lustrous with age.
These carpets are made from high-quality wool that has been dyed with natural dyes and hand-knotted over a period of about a year. The more you use them, the more they change appearance, and they still look great even after they have taken on a worn, vintage look.
