All handwoven carpets are one-of-a-kind and are available only while supplies last. Please note that they are also available in store on a first-come, first-served basis.
Gabbeh carpets are handwoven by the nomadic Qashqai people of Iran, using hand-spun, plant-dyed wool. They are thick and roughly woven from thick wool, and are characterized by their simple, charming patterns and colors.
This is a high-grade Gabbeh called "Kashkuri," which has a finer weave than the wool used in regular Gabbehs. This is made with wool yarn that is spun even finer than the wool used in regular Gabbehs, resulting in a denser weave and clearer details in the design.
Gabbeh rugs, each with its own meaningful pattern, are also popular as gifts.
It is very fluffy, so we recommend using it as a cushion, chair mat, or to decorate your car seat.
