This is a hand-woven Pakistani rug made from hand-spun wool called 'Ghazni wool.'
Hand-spun wool creates more unevenness in color than machine-spun wool, resulting in a rustic, charming, and more natural-looking rug. The thickness is slightly thinner.
Gentle brown and cream, highlighting the natural color of the wool. The design resembles a picture in a frame, depicting the Tree of Life. The tree, extending towards the heavens where God is believed to reside, is a motif of life, symbolizing prayers for longevity and health. Known as the "Tree of Life," it is a popular and long-cherished pattern. Additionally, the birds depicted on the edge are a motif of good tidings, symbolizing auspicious news. The baby blue border is charming, and the overall gentle color combination creates a beautiful rug.
The dyes are natural, made from plants and spices, making them safer than chemical dyes, so you can use them with peace of mind around children and pets.
Pakistani rugs, hand-woven with sincerity knot by knot by skilled artisans, are highly durable and can be home-cared for. They are highly practical and can be used for a long time, making them popular as gifts. Wool is a natural material with low thermal conductivity, making it cool in summer and warm in winter. It is also highly breathable and does not trap heat, so you can safely use it on floor heating or tatami mats.
