This is a hand-woven Kashkuli Gabbeh (Lizbaft) made by the Qashqai tribe in southern Iran. Lizbaft is woven with fine knots, allowing for delicate patterns, and combining a light texture with durability.

This piece features a unique design, as if many small Gabbehs are arranged neatly within one large rug. Each small frame is carefully woven with symbols important to the Qashqai tribe, such as "Tree of Life," "animals," "people," and "flowers." From a distance, it appears as an orderly grid pattern, while up close, it can be enjoyed as a small world full of stories, making it a very expressive piece.

Only high-quality wool is used as the material. It has the elasticity unique to hand-weaving, and you can feel the comfort of natural materials the moment you touch it.
