Gabbeh carpets are handwoven in the Shiraz region of Iran. Gabbeh carpets are a type of thick carpet loosely woven with thick, hand-spun wool yarn, and are characterized by their simple, charming colors and designs.
This is a high-grade Gabbeh called "Kashkuri," which has a finer weave than the wool used in regular Gabbehs. This is made with wool yarn that is spun even finer than the wool used in regular Gabbehs, resulting in a denser weave and clearer details in the design.
The unique round shape makes it the center of attention.
It's so fluffy that it feels comfortable to lie on, and its size isn't too obtrusive, so it makes an interesting piece of interior decor, whether used as a rug, draped over a sofa, or as a tapestry.
The vibrant color balance created using natural dyes made from plants and spices is also very beautiful.
Each knot is a work of art, handwoven with care by artisans.
