Easy Care

1. Vacuuming

Vacuuming along the pile direction (with the grain) will lay the pile flat and prevent dirt from getting deep into the wool. If you vacuum against the pile direction (against the grain), it is recommended to finish by vacuuming with the grain to lay the pile flat.

※If you are using a vacuum cleaner equipped with a high-speed rotating brush, there is a risk of damage if the fringes get caught, so please remove the vacuum cleaner head and use the suction nozzle.

2. If you spill drinks, etc.

First, quickly press down with tissue paper to absorb the liquid.

Next, dab the stain with a well-wrung wet towel to remove the dirt.

Finally, remove any remaining moisture with tissue paper or similar.

If the stain remains, repeat the same process with a small amount of water.

3. If you are concerned about dirt or odors

Lather a plant-derived soap or shampoo diluted 100 times with water.

Apply the foam onto the stain and dab it with a well-wrung wet towel, following the direction of the pile.

Wipe off the foam thoroughly with a wet towel and dry the rug in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight.

4. Cleaning every 5-10 years

For stains that cannot be removed by the above methods, we recommend sending them to a professional cleaning service.

As a general guideline, having your rug cleaned every 5-10 years will help prevent damage and allow you to enjoy it for longer.

We also offer cleaning and repair services, so please feel free to contact us.

※Silk rugs are very delicate, so we do not recommend cleaning them yourself.

If moisture is absorbed with tissue paper and stains remain, please consult us.
