This Gabbeh was hand-woven by nomads in the Shiraz region of Iran. Among Gabbehs, this is a high-grade piece called "Kashkooli," known for its fine weave. Because of the high knot density, it takes more time to weave than a typical Gabbeh, but the patterns are clearer and the feel underfoot is exceptional.


The design depicts the daily life of a village in a rustic touch, with a river flowing between mountains, houses, trees, farm animals, and people's lives, like a painting. The red-based colors with the blue river as an accent bring warmth and a sense of storytelling to the space.

Woven with high-quality wool at high density, it is very soft to the touch yet durable. The intricately expressed patterns will deepen in character with prolonged use.
