All handwoven carpets are one-of-a-kind and are available only while supplies last. Please note that as they are also sold in store, they are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

This Mashwani kilim is from Herat, Afghanistan. It is handwoven by the Mashwani tribe. Their specialty is sumak weaving, a technique that requires complex weaving techniques and is therefore difficult to produce. It is rare and not widely available in Japan.
This uneven carpet combines a kilim, which has a texture similar to that of linen, with a pile carpet section, and has a beautiful geometric design that is very comfortable to walk on.

The regularly-spaced diamonds create a captivating design, and although it looks yellowish in bright light, it is actually a beige color made from ochre and dark brown wool yarn.

It can be used as a rug, and because it is lightweight, it can also be hung on the wall as a decorative piece. It can be folded up small and is easy to carry, making it ideal for camping and picnics.
