This Gabbeh was hand-woven by nomads in the Shiraz region of Iran. Among Gabbehs, this is a high-grade type called 'Kashkuli' which has a finer weave. Because of the high knot density, it takes longer to weave than a typical Gabbeh, but the patterns are clearer and the feel underfoot is exceptional.

Woven with high-quality wool at a high density, it is very soft to the touch yet durable. The intricately expressed patterns will deepen in character the longer you use it.
