This is a hand-woven Gabbeh made from 100% hand-spun wool, woven in the Ghazni region of Afghanistan. The size is 203 x 154 cm.

Each strand of wool is hand-spun and carefully dyed with natural dyes derived from plants and minerals. Its soft and resilient texture becomes more comfortable with use, conforming to your feet and providing year-round comfort.

The design incorporates a large motif reminiscent of the Tree of Life and small animals. These are traditional patterns that represent the nomadic lifestyle and aspirations. The tree symbolizes family growth and prosperity, while the animals represent abundance and peace. A rustic yet poetic world unfolds, adding a story to your space.

The Ghazni region has flourished as an important trading hub since ancient times, and its culture of handicrafts has been carefully passed down through generations. The wool of sheep raised in the harsh natural environment with extreme temperature differences is strong and highly durable. Gabbeh rugs were originally woven by nomads for their own use. Durability and practicality were paramount.

This piece features deep red, indigo, and gentle blue hues against an ivory base. It pairs well with natural floors and wooden furniture, blending seamlessly into both Japanese and Western-style rooms.
